A Rustic Stop That Feels Like Home
Tucked along the back roads of Spring Branch, Richter's Antler Cafe is the kind of place travelers stumble into once and then plan trips around. Step inside and you're greeted by a ceiling strung with antlers, walls lined with taxidermy mounts, and a dining room full of the kind of easy, unhurried hospitality that Texas Hill Country is known for. It's casual, it's cozy, and it feels exactly like home.
The menu is short on purpose — because everything on it is done right. Our chicken fried steak comes out generously portioned, perfectly battered, and smothered in gravy alongside your pick of two sides. Our build-your-own Richter's Burgers are a house favorite, and the chicken fried chicken sandwich (don't skip the onion rings) is a local legend for good reason. Guests regularly tell us it's the best cheeseburger they've ever had — toasted bun, fresh veggies, meat cooked just right.
